Balance In Design
At DeBenedictis Building, we have embraced the concept of Balance in Design—an ideal combination of cost, efficiency, and style. We have realized that waiting for a time when balanced design becomes a reality is futile. We are already there. This idea has already become our reality. Constant collaboration with architects, homeowners, and subcontractors on ways to achieve this balance transforms our projects from ordinary to exceptional.
Using our years of standard building practices as our foundation, we constantly strive to identify low-risk/ high impact changes to incorporate into our homes. Once you learn the many ways to improve the energy efficiency, durability, and air quality of a home dramatically, the old ways are quickly forgotten. Sustainability is now more than just a slogan. It is a priority.
We believe that quality needs to be evaluated in four dimensions—not just plumb, level, and square, but, more importantly, how it performs over time. Inevitably, it has to include a greater measure of efficiency, reducing resource consumption, aka carbon footprint. Now with good mechanisms in place to measure energy consumption, durability, water consumption and overall environmental impact, we are producing much higher performing homes.
We still have work to do, but we are passionate, caring, and committed to continue our pursuit of better, more balanced homes.
